After deciding to pursue a career as a mortgage broker, I took some essential time to contemplate the life I wanted to build—for myself and my family. Having spent several years as a new home sales executive for a reputable company, I found joy in helping families find their dream homes. However, the long evening hours always ended with me missing out on irreplaceable moments with my two daughters and husband. I reached a breaking point and prioritized my family by retiring from my career. Taking a year off allowed me to reconnect with what truly mattered and catch up on valuable time with my girls. While I don't regret my difficult decision to put my career on hold, it was necessary, but it wasn't an easy feat; I struggled with guilt for not being able to contribute financially. I sought guidance and support from trusted professionals who helped me recognize my potential to succeed in a new field. With their encouragement and my husband's unwavering faith in me, I decided to leap into mortgage brokering. I realized this was a career that would allow me to make a positive impact in the lives of many while also providing a flexible future for my family. I reached out to The Mortgage Centre We Connect, a brokerage highly recommended by people I deeply trust. Alicia, the brains and leader behind the Entire We Connect Family, welcomed me almost immediatly. Before I even signed on with her Brokerage, she went above and beyond to offer mentorship and reassurance. I was immediately connected with this incredible team and felt like I truly belonged in this new role. Her support and my family's motivation inspired me to complete the AMBA Mortgage Broker course.
